Full Job Description

About the Role

Jenco is looking for a VDC & BIM Manager to lead the development and coordination of VDC/BIM designs and models for electrical systems. You'll ensure quality, accuracy, constructability, and fabrication readiness — collaborating with project managers, drafters, engineers, and field staff across design-build and construction workflows from preconstruction through project closeout.

What You'll Do

Lead and manage VDC/BIM coordination efforts for electrical systems across multiple projects
Create and maintain detailed 2D & 3D models using Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD MEP, and other BIM tools
Use EVOLVE MEP to generate and manage spool drawings/kits and produce Bills of Materials
Coordinate clash detection and resolution with other trades using Navisworks Manage
Support preconstruction and estimating teams with model-based takeoffs and planning
Standardize and enforce VDC protocols, templates, and workflows aligned with company and industry standards
Train and mentor drafters, detailers, and field staff on software and best practices
Communicate with GC, design teams, and other trade partners during coordination meetings and project updates
Generate prefab drawings and installation documents for field use
Manage file version control, model updates, and data exports for stakeholders
Lead Planning & Innovations Meetings, coordinating fabrication, detailing, and field changes
Oversee and coordinate field layout with the Layout Specialist, including preparing layout files for layout technology
Prepare and coordinate designs for standard products, including shop drawings and shop drawing library maintenance
Research products and materials for continuous improvement of standard products, incorporating field input
Support the fabrication team in producing, maintaining, and QAQC'ing standard products
Maintain the team's Kanban board, leading weekly sprints and assigning/moving tasks; monitor and update tasks in Fieldwire

What You'll Bring

5+ years of experience in BIM or VDC roles, in the electrical field
Strong proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD MEP, and BIM 360 or similar platforms
EVOLVE MEP experience desired
Electrical field experience with a strong understanding of electrical systems in commercial and industrial construction
Experience with clash detection, model-based estimating, and constructability review
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Drafting Technology, or related field preferred
Certifications in BIM technologies or methodologies (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) are a plus
