Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Health Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with individuals with drug addiction and substance abuse, providing support and implementing behavior intervention plans. This role is crucial in helping clients achieve their personal goals and improve their overall quality of life.

Responsibilities

Provide daily support and supervision to clients in a residential behavioral health setting
Complete daily BHT Counseling Notes
Monitor client behavior, safety, progress, and document observations
Support clients with daily living skills, hygiene, medication reminders, and emotional regulation
Lead or assist in group activities, life skills training, and coping skill exercises
Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for all residents
Promptly report any incidents, behaviors, or concerns to supervisory staff
De-escalate behavioral situations using approved techniques and trauma-informed care
Assist clients with safe self-administration of medications and ensure proper medication tracking

Skills/Minimum Requirements

Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card (Level 1)
Current CPR & First Aid certification
Current TB Test (completed within the past 12 months)
Must be 18 years or older
High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Reliable, compassionate, and capable of working in a team-oriented environment
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
Experience in social work or working with individuals with addiction is preferred.
Familiarity with working with individuals with substance abuse, is highly desirable.
Proficient in data collection techniques for behavioral analysis.
Knowledge of patient care best practices and medication administration protocols
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA standards.
