Job Summary

Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Endoscopy Technician, where you will play a vital role in supporting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within the gastroenterology ASC. Your expertise will ensure that endoscopic equipment is prepared, maintained, and operated with precision, enabling physicians to deliver exceptional patient care. This position offers an engaging opportunity to work closely with medical professionals, enhance your technical skills, and contribute to improved patient outcomes through expert procedural support.

Responsibilities

Prepare and sterilize endoscopic equipment and accessories in accordance with aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and infection control.
Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures by handling instruments, managing equipment, and ensuring optimal visualization through medical imaging technology.
Monitor patient vital signs and comfort levels throughout procedures, providing support as needed to facilitate smooth operations.
Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, including technical notes, equipment logs, and patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Conduct routine inspections of endoscopy tools and devices, troubleshooting technical issues promptly to minimize procedure delays.
Support the setup and breakdown of procedure rooms, ensuring all supplies are stocked and equipment is properly stored after use.
Stay current with advancements in gastroenterology practices, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology to enhance procedural efficiency and safety.

Requirements

Proven experience or training in gastroenterology or related medical fields; certification as an Endoscopy Technician is preferred.
Strong knowledge of anatomy relevant to gastrointestinal procedures and physiology principles.
Familiarity with medical terminology used in diagnostic evaluation and endoscopic procedures.
Demonstrated proficiency in aseptic technique to prevent infection risks during invasive procedures.
Ability to operate medical imaging equipment effectively for real-time visualization during endoscopies.
Excellent technical proficiency with endoscopy systems, including troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
Effective communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
