Group Home Assistant ManagerAbout Starlink Care

We are currently seeking a dedicated, dependable, and motivated Group Home Assistant Manager to join our growing team.

Position Overview

The Group Home Assistant Manager plays a vital leadership role in supporting the daily operations of the home and assisting the House Manager in ensuring quality care for members. This position is ideal for someone who is compassionate, organized, adaptable, and passionate about helping others.

The Assistant Manager works closely with direct care staff, members, guardians, and the management team to ensure services are delivered safely, effectively, and in compliance with agency and state requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the House Manager with the daily operation of the group home
Support, coach, and supervise direct care staff
Monitor documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
Audit medication administration records and related paperwork
Assist with scheduling and shift coverage as needed
Coordinate and track member appointments and transportation needs
Provide transportation using company vehicles when necessary
Support the implementation of member goals and individualized service plans
Maintain a safe, positive, and professional environment for members and staff
Participate in trainings, meetings, and quality assurance activities
Serve as a role model by demonstrating professionalism, accountability, and teamwork
Assist with maintaining compliance with agency, DDD, and state requirements
Support the House Manager with staffing needs and operational oversight

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age
Valid Arizona Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
Valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain prior to employment
CPR and First Aid Certification or ability to obtain upon hire
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
Experience administering and refilling medications preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced situations
Strong leadership and team-building skills
Commitment to providing high-quality, person-centered care
Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred but not required

Schedule Expectations

This is a full-time position. The Assistant Manager should be available to support the needs of the home, including:

Participation in an on-call rotation approximately one weekend per month
Providing coverage and support when operational needs arise
Assisting with staffing needs to ensure continuity of care
Occasional flexibility with scheduling to support members and staff
Availability to step in and support the team when needed
