Remote position that requires domestic travel from time to time, including nights and weekends. Must be based in the United States and in one of the following states: NY, PA, CT, MD, VA, NC, TN, FL, MI, MN, AZ, OR, NV or CA.
This is an exempt position with a salary range of $75,000 - 90,000 per year, DOE.

Reports To: Senior Director of Development
Purpose of Role: The Community Fundraising Manager is responsible for the planning, implementation, and growth of the International Myeloma Foundation’s community fundraising initiatives and signature events.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Fundraising & Participant Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with community fundraisers, participants, and supporters.
- Provide fundraising coaching, resources, and personalized support to help participants achieve their fundraising goals.
- Develop participant engagement, stewardship, and retention strategies to encourage ongoing involvement.
- Create fundraising tools, participant communications, and engagement materials.
- Respond to participant and supporter inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Identify opportunities to expand participation and strengthen community fundraising programs.
Project Management & Events
- Support the planning and execution of IMF’s 5K events, the Iceland Cycling Expedition, and other community fundraising initiatives.
- Coordinate project timelines, participant communications, logistics, and fundraising activities.
- Manage multiple fundraising campaigns, projects, and priorities simultaneously.
- Collaborate with participants, sponsors, vendors, and community partners to support successful fundraising experiences.
- Support event execution, including occasional evening and weekend activities as needed.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new community fundraising initiatives and opportunities.
Technology, Reporting & Analysis
- Manage the IMF’s community fundraising platform and participant-facing fundraising tools.
- Build and maintain fundraising campaigns, participant pages, and communications within fundraising platforms.
- Utilize Salesforce and other fundraising systems to maintain accurate participant and fundraising records.
- Monitor participation, fundraising activity, and program performance.
- Track key performance indicators and prepare reports to support program evaluation and decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for program growth and process improvement.
Collaboration & Other Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Development, Marketing, Events, and other internal teams to support fundraising initiatives and participant communications.
- Support integrated fundraising campaigns and organizational priorities.
- Represent the IMF with participants, donors, sponsors, vendors, and community partners.
- Maintain current knowledge of fundraising best practices, community engagement strategies, and industry trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Three to five years of experience in community fundraising, event fundraising, nonprofit development, or a related field.
- Experience building and maintaining relationships with donors, participants, sponsors, or community partners.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to work independently while contributing as part of a team.
- Experience with fundraising platforms and CRM systems; Classy, DonorDrive or Salesforce experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability and willingness to travel occasionally and support evening and weekend fundraising events.
