Full Job Description

Since 1959, Johnson Equipment Company has provided the safest, most reliable dock and door products available on the market. These products combined with the most professional sales representatives and service technicians have led us to the enviable position of the largest independent loading dock, industrial door, and in plant lift specialist in the United States. As part of this growth, we have an opening for a Warehouse & Logistics Coordinator in the Dallas, TX area.

This Coordinator will be operating forklifts, shipping and receiving, purchase order management, collaboration with other departments, and other warehouse tasks.

This role has a schedule of 7AM-4PM.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Complete day-to-day administrative functions such as answering phone calls, organizing file systems, responding to department as well as internal and external requests, photocopying, handling mail, ordering supplies, etc.
Schedule and coordinate truck off loadings.
Complete various reports management as needed.
Prepare correspondence such as letters, memorandums, and reports, as requested.
Provide other administrative and customer support as needed.
Actively participate in departmental meetings, training, and education.
Examine ingoing and outgoing shipments.
Document all receiving orders into inventory by location.
Create bar codes and input into system.
Scan and reconcile purchase orders into the system.
Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures.
Coordinate transportation and delivery schedules with carriers and vendors.
Monitor shipment status and provide updates regarding delays or delivery issues.
Work closely with warehouse staff to prioritize shipping schedules.
Resolve shipping discrepancies, damaged freight claims, and delivery issues.
Maintain communication with drivers, carriers, and internal departments.
Ensure shipping documentation complies with company and customer requirements.
Track freight costs and assist with transportation reporting.
Support route planning and load scheduling when necessary.
Assist in improving logistics processes for efficiency and cost savings.

Effective time management and organizational skills.
Knowledge of computer skills and relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems such as filing and record keeping.
Work independently as well as in a team environment.
Planning, organizing, and prioritization skills.
Flexibility and adaptability.
Work professionally with customers and co-workers to efficiently serve our customers, treating both with enthusiasm and respect.
Respond professionally in situations with difficult employee/vendor/customer issues or inquiries.

Education

High School Diploma or GED required.

This position might need to drive a company vehicle to assist with a delivery so a valid driver's license with a good record would be required.
