BASIC FUNCTIONS|
In addition to daily responsibilities and duties, the Shipping & Receiving Associate will support tasks and initiatives assigned by the Manager. Assist the manager in picking products and preparing them for same day shipping both nationally and internationally via expedited carrier services.
Working in a food manufacturing environment, employee must follow all established Company policies and procedures primarily, GMP guidelines. Ability to perform but not limited to the essential duties and responsibilities outlined below. Familiarity with and able to interpret packing slips as well as acknowledge receipt of the goods into the purchase order.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting all warehouse, inventory control, shipping, and receiving functions in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Accurately receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, ingredients, packaging, and finished goods against purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documentation.
· Scan inventory transactions using the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and RF scanning equipment to ensure accurate inventory control and traceability.
· Perform inventory cycle counts, stock audits, and reconciliation activities to maintain inventory accuracy and support food safety and quality requirements.
· Safely pick, stage, and prepare customer orders and production materials while ensuring accuracy, proper product rotation (FIFO/FEFO), and on-time fulfillment.
· Put away inventory into designated warehouse locations while maintaining proper stock rotation and storage requirements.
· Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely using forklifts, walk-behind powered pallet jacks, and other approved material handling equipment.
· Validate shipping and receiving documentation, including purchase orders, bills of lading, packing slips, and carrier paperwork to ensure accuracy and compliance.
· Complete and maintain all required shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse records in accordance with company procedures.
· Ensure products are properly packaged, labeled, and secured for shipment according to customer, carrier, and food safety requirements.
· Support the movement of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods to and from production and warehouse storage areas.
· Identify and report inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, equipment issues, or unsafe conditions to leadership promptly.
· Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety standards, and company policies.
· Follow all OSHA, company safety, and food manufacturing regulations while operating equipment and performing warehouse activities.
· Safely operate forklifts and walk-behind powered pallet jacks in accordance with company training and certification requirements.
· Collaborate with production, quality, customer service, and transportation teams to ensure efficient inventory flow and customer satisfaction.
Perform other duties and special projects assigned by leadership.

· Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus but not required.

· High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
· Minimum of one (1) year of experience in warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, inventory control, logistics, or a manufacturing environment preferred.
· Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, including following written and verbal instructions and completing required documentation accurately.
· Basic mathematical skills, including counting, adding, subtracting, and verifying quantities for inventory and shipping transactions.
· Basic computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office applications and warehouse management systems (WMS) or RF scanners preferred.
· Experience performing inventory transactions, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation activities.
· Ability to accurately verify purchase orders, packing slips, bills of lading, and other shipping and receiving documentation.
· Certified forklift operator or ability to obtain and maintain certification; experience operating stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, and walk-behind powered pallet jacks preferred.
· Ability to safely operate material handling equipment in accordance with company safety policies and procedures.
· Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
· Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and modified schedules as business needs require.
· Ability to work in refrigerated and freezer environments, including temperatures as low as -10°F.
· Commitment to workplace safety, food safety, quality standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

· Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus to safely perform warehouse and equipment operation tasks.
· Ability to work in a cold storage environment with temperatures reaching -10°F while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
· Ability to maintain regular attendance and perform the essential functions of the position in a safe and productive manner.
