Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will support the kitchen operations, oversee food preparation and safety, manage staff training, and ensure the delivery of high-quality food service. Your leadership will help maintain our standards of excellence in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused environment.

Duties

Assist in supervising daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to safety standards
Support food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality expectations
Minimizing waste
Train and develop kitchen staff on food safety practices, food handling, and culinary techniques
Supervise shift management, ensuring timely service during busy hours in a quick service or casual dining setting
Collaborate with management on budgeting, food production planning, and maintaining cleanliness standards

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment
Strong knowledge of POS systems (Toast)
Demonstrated supervisory experience with staff training and team management skills
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling and sanitation
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a quick service or casual dining restaurant setting
