Situated on oceanfront Collins Avenue in the heart of Millionaire's Row, Fontainebleau Miami Beach is one of the most historically and architecturally significant hotels on Miami Beach. Opened in 1954 and designed by Morris Lapidus, it was the most luxurious hotel on Miami Beach, and is thought to be the most significant building of Lapidus' career.

Responsibilities

Seamstress/Tailor will be responsible for repairing employee uniforms, linen, etc., to assure proper fit while maintaining their condition

Examples of Duties, includes but is not limited to the following:

Possess and execute complete knowledge of wardrobe policies.
Maintain inventory levels by accurately tracking uniforms that are distributed and collected, and provide requisition information to operating managers based on assessed needs.
Report uniform quality and maintenance problems to the Wardrobe Manager.
Submit purchase requisitions for approval alteration supplies.
Reports any safety hazards to assigned supervisor.
Alter and repair garments, and linens according to department policies.
Operate all machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
Tag and/or mark garments as needed.
Keeps accurate records of all material needed and used to alter and repair garments.

Qualifications

Related alterations on commercial sewing equipment experience preferred.
Requires knowledge and ability to perform operations on commercial sewing equipment.
Ability to communicate effectively in English and establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff.
Knowledge, understanding, and compliance of policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, chemical labels, and other instructions.
