Billing & Revenue Cycle Manager
Radiology Practice | South Florida (Multi-Facility Operations)

About Us

We are a growing hospital-based radiology practice providing diagnostic and interventional radiology services across multiple South Florida facilities. Our organization is committed to operational excellence, strong financial performance, and continuous improvement in revenue cycle management.

We are seeking an experienced Billing & Revenue Cycle Manager with proven leadership skills to organize, streamline, and optimize all aspects of billing, collections, accounts receivable, denial management, and revenue cycle operations. This individual will play a key leadership role in creating structure, accountability, efficiency, and measurable financial results.

Position Summary

The Billing & Revenue Cycle Manager will oversee the daily operations of the billing and collections department while driving improvements in workflow efficiency, cash collections, denial reduction, and accounts receivable performance.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can manage staff, establish performance expectations, develop processes, identify operational weaknesses, and implement solutions that improve revenue cycle outcomes. This position requires both strategic thinking and hands-on execution.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Management

Provide leadership, direction, and accountability for billing, collections, and revenue cycle personnel.
Develop and implement department policies, procedures, and performance standards.
Establish productivity metrics and monitor staff performance.
Conduct training, coaching, and ongoing staff development.
Foster a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Revenue Cycle Management

Oversee all aspects of accounts receivable, claim submission, collections, denial management, and payment posting.
Monitor AR aging and implement strategies to reduce outstanding balances.
Analyze collection performance and identify opportunities to increase revenue recovery.
Develop workflows to improve claim accuracy and reduce denials.
Ensure timely filing compliance and proper reimbursement from all payers.
Review and resolve escalated billing and collection issues.

Operational Improvement

Evaluate current billing workflows and redesign processes for maximum efficiency.
Identify bottlenecks, workflow gaps, and operational inefficiencies.
Implement best practices for revenue cycle management and performance tracking.
Create dashboards and reporting tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
Drive initiatives that improve cash flow, reduce write-offs, and shorten collection cycles.

Denial Management & Collections

Monitor denial trends and develop corrective action plans.
Oversee appeals and recovery efforts for underpaid and denied claims.
Work high-value and complex accounts to resolution.
Ensure aggressive and timely follow-up on outstanding claims.
Collaborate with physicians, coders, hospitals, and payers to resolve reimbursement issues.

Financial Reporting & Analytics

Generate and analyze reports related to:
AR Aging
Collection Rates
Denial Rates
Days in AR
Net Collection Percentage
Cash Flow Performance
Productivity Metrics
Present findings and recommendations to executive leadership.
Develop action plans based on revenue cycle performance data.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of medical billing and revenue cycle management experience.
Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
Radiology billing experience strongly preferred.
Comprehensive knowledge of:
Accounts Receivable Management
Denial Prevention and Appeals
Revenue Cycle Operations
Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial Insurance, and HMO Plans
EOB and ERA Analysis
Insurance Verification and Authorization Processes
Timely Filing Requirements
Revenue Cycle KPIs and Performance Metrics
Proficiency with AdvancedMD and payer portals required.
Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
Demonstrated ability to improve collections and operational performance.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and drive measurable results.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
