Supervisor: Lead Sales Project Manager
Duperon Corporation designs, manufactures, and sells custom-engineered equipment for wastewater treatment plants and open-channel applications, serving seven industries across the U.S. and internationally.
The Sales Project Manager is primarily responsible for coordinating and developing customer solutions, resulting in a comprehensive project plan that defines equipment scope and project deliverables. Additional responsibilities include positioning projects, assisting in bid strategy development, and supporting the sales process to secure wins. This role oversees proposals at all stages, from budgetary estimates to final design bid documents.
The Sales Project Manager works closely with sales and engineering teams, as well as manufacturers’ representatives and customers, to gather the necessary information for the project plan, including accurate pricing, appropriate equipment, and project deliverables for each application and site. Cross training across production, products, and service ensures the Sales Project Manager has a broad understanding of the business, with opportunities to specialize and grow as the company expands.
This position coordinates all required resources to support project design and execution, ensuring total customer satisfaction and profitability. The Sales Project Manager also contributes to a work environment that fosters pride, teamwork, and personal development.

Provide technical support to the Sales organization, including manufacturers’ representatives, engineering firms, and potential customers, while fostering strong collaborative relationships with all stakeholders involved in proposals or bids.

Gather and coordinate information from Regional Sales Managers, Sales Representatives, and customers to develop comprehensive project work plans.

Follow established workflows consistently while contributing ideas for continuous improvement to strengthen processes across business units.

Manage all aspects of the presale process to ensure project deliverables are completed accurately and within established timelines.

Document all project information thoroughly throughout the presale process, recognizing that projects may span multiple years and involve various team members.

Apply company methodology throughout project execution to ensure compliance with established project plans.

Understand and translate customer needs into appropriate solutions, ensuring accurate data and pricing are communicated to internal teams to deliver complete customer satisfaction.

Maintain total compliance with established quality assurance procedures.

Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing customer requirements, commitments from Regional Sales Managers, and internal team support with professionalism and tact.

Proactively identify and assess potential risks associated with projects.

Support the strategic Sales plan and marketing strategies, including facilitating calls and meetings with engineering firms and customers during project development.
Requirements

Minimum: High school diploma

Preferred: College degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Construction, Procurement, or Project Management

3 years’ experience estimating mechanical equipment

3 years’ experience reading mechanical and/or architectural blueprints

3 years of proven customer service experience

Proficiency in MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word

Background in manufacturing, construction, engineering, technical sales, relationship management, or project management

Experience with municipal bidding, wastewater, or stormwater industries

Experience estimating large projects, customer equipment, or engineering/construction projects

Construction experience and knowledge of hydraulics and industrial controls

Small business experience due to multitasking requirements

High mechanical aptitude, strong conceptual and math skills, and the ability to understand and communicate mechanical concepts internally and externally

Meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritize to meet deadlines

Attendance at tradeshows will be required, which involves interacting with customers, sales representatives, and engineers, as well as standing and walking for extended periods across large venues and parking areas.
