Full Job Description

Summary:

The Kitchen Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen. The holder of this position must be ServSafe and Allergan Certified.

Duties:

Summary of essential job functions

The Kitchen Manager is responsible for setting the tone and pace in the kitchen. Must have a sense of urgency. The pace should be the same rather there’s 1 ticket or 50 tickets on the rail.
Ensure proper staff for production through hiring, training and supervising all kitchen staff.
Schedules the work of managers, line cooks, prep cooks and dishwashers. Coordinates the schedule of the assistant pit master with the pit master.
Adheres to the Director of Operations guidelines for purchasing all products from the proper vendors and ensure the proper inventory level so we are not 86 items.
Submits all small-wares requests to the General Manager.
Oversees all aspects of the preparation for all food items by kitchen staff to ensure products are to our consistency standards.
Ensures that high standards of sanitation and cleanliness are maintained to health code. Training staff in proper cooling techniques, label and dating procedures and safety by keeping the restaurant clean, not leaving garbage and boxes lying around.
Participate in the menu development team. Ensures a smooth transaction with implementation of new items to the menu two times a year (Spring & Fall).
Cooks or directly supervises the cooking of all items.
To ensure a good relationship between BOH and FOH so that the restaurant runs smoothly and always concerned about the guest satisfaction first.
Performs all other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Passionate about the food industry
Self motivated, result oriented team leader
Flexible and open to changing dynamics and scheduling
Prior experience in a management roll preferred, but not required
Kitchen management experience- 1+ years preferred
HS Diploma/GED or similar
Be reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfill obligations
Strong Attention to Detail and multi-tasking skills

Total pay for this position—any applicable benefits, bonuses, & commissions are negotiable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
