CJW Chimney & Fireplace is a family-owned, fully licensed and insured chimney company serving Mid-Michigan for over 20 years. We are a rapidly growing company specializing in chimney sweeping, inspections, relining, repair, diagnostics, masonry, gas fireplaces and fireplace installations.

What You'll Do
As a Chimney Technician Apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced and certified technicians while learning the trade.
Responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with chimney inspections, sweeping and diagnostics
- Assisting with chimney relining and repairs
- Assisting with fireplace and gas log installations
- Assisting with masonry repairs and rebuilds
- Learning proper chimney and fireplace construction and repair techniques
- Working on residential and commercial roofs
- Using hand and power tools
- Maintaining a clean and organized jobsite
- Providing professional service to our customers
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
- Has a strong work ethic
- Is dependable and takes pride in their work
- Is mechanically inclined or enjoys working with their hands
- Is willing to learn a specialized trade
- Is comfortable working at heights, on ladders and on roofs
- Can work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Can follow instructions and safety procedures
- Has a valid driver's license
- Wants an opportunity to advance
Previous experience in construction, roofing, masonry, HVAC, mechanical work or other trades is a plus, but not required.
