Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Surgical Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. The Surgical Technician will play a critical role in assisting surgeons during surgical procedures, ensuring that the operating room is prepared and maintained in accordance with strict safety and hygiene standards. This position requires a thorough understanding of surgical procedures, instruments, and techniques, as well as the ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments. This is for a brand-new orthopedic surgery center, orthopedic experience required! We perform total joint replacements, arthroscopies, spine surgery, pain, and hand surgery.

Duties

Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures.
Assist surgeons by passing instruments and supplies as needed.
Ensure all surgical instruments are accounted for before and after procedures.
Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure patient safety and comfort.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation related to surgical procedures.
Adhere to infection control protocols to minimize the risk of contamination.
Participate in the setup and breakdown of the operating room before and after surgeries.
Stay informed about new technologies, techniques, and best practices in surgical care.

Skills

Strong knowledge of human physiology and anatomy.
Proficiency in infection control practices within a surgical setting.
Experience in Ambulatory Surgery Center is preferred.
Experience in orthopedic surgery a must.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure.
