Kitchen Manager

Drift on Pine | La Porte, IN

Drift on Pine is looking for a driven, organized, and hands-on Kitchen Manager to lead our back-of-house team. This role is ideal for a kitchen leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values consistency and accountability, and takes pride in building strong teams and executing great food—every plate, every shift.

We are not looking for someone who just “runs the line.” We’re looking for someone who leads it.

What You’ll Do

Lead and develop the BOH team with clear expectations, training, and accountability
Own daily kitchen operations including prep, line execution, cleanliness, and food safety
Manage ordering, inventory, food cost, and waste control
Execute systems for recipe adherence, portion control, and ticket times
Collaborate with FOH leadership to ensure seamless service and guest experience
Build schedules aligned with sales volume and labor targets
Coach, correct, and motivate your team to perform at a high level
Maintain health department standards and internal cleanliness benchmarks
Be present on the floor — this is a working leadership role

What We’re Looking For

Proven kitchen leadership experience (Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or Lead Cook)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to lead with confidence, fairness, and consistency
Experience managing food cost, inventory, and labor
High standards for cleanliness, execution, and team culture
Calm under pressure and solutions-oriented
A leader who takes ownership — wins and losses
