Overview
Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Lathe Machinist and become a vital part of producing high-precision components for diverse industries. In this role, you will operate, set up, and program CNC lathes to craft intricate parts with exceptional accuracy. Your expertise will ensure that manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely, contributing to the creation of top-quality products. We are seeking motivated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about precision machining.

Duties

Operate CNC lathe machines, including Fanuc-controlled equipment, to produce complex parts according to detailed blueprints and specifications
Set up machines by installing tooling, calibrating equipment, and verifying machine parameters using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines
Read and interpret engineering blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) symbols, and technical drawings to ensure accurate production
Program CNC lathes using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and perform routine adjustments for optimal performance
Conduct quality checks throughout the machining process utilizing precision tools like dial indicators and micrometers to maintain tight tolerances
Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues related to tooling, electrical discharge machining (EDM), or mechanical failures
Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying opportunities for process improvements and waste reduction

Skills

Proficiency in CNC programming and operation of CNC lathe machines with Fanuc controls or similar systems
Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and mechanical drawings
Experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM), CAD (Computer-Aided Design), SolidWorks, and CAM programming software
Knowledge of tooling selection, setup procedures, and the use of hand tools for machining tasks
Ability to utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines for quality assurance
Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes including plastics injection molding and welding techniques
Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machine settings
Familiarity with safety protocols involving power tools, forklift operation, and the use of precision measuring instruments
Strong attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality components within tight specifications

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
