Full Job Description

AR Collection Specialist - Part Time Mon-Fri 9AM-3PM

Job Summary:

An Accounts receivable collector is responsible for contacting the customers to collect the debt owed or determine an appropriate schedule for paying off the debt and any interest that might accrue. The candidate must be detail-oriented and highly committed to quality, customer service, teamwork and supporting the company’s department goals in a fast-paced environment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Making outbound collection calls daily, resolving customer billing issues, and documenting daily collections activity.
Contacting customers and collaborating with them to receive payment for outstanding balances.
Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation.
Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
Must have the ability to make collection calls in a professional manner while keeping and improving customer relations.
Resolve customer-billing issues in a timely manner, and monitor/update all accounts and discuss with management.
Must be reliable, very detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills, self-motivated person with a good attitude.
Utilize A/R reports and identify accounts that are past due.
Review accounts, client payments, credit history, and developing new or better repayment terms.
Resolving collections by examining customer payment plans, payment history, and credit lines.
Manage New Customer applications and trade reference.
Identify and maintain monthly metric goals.
Ability to process all cash receipts including cash, checks, credit cards, ACH, EFT or wire transfers.
Maintaining the accounting email daily independently.

· Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

· Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.

At least two years account receivable collections or related experience required.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
