Full Job Description

Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI is actively hiring a Charge Nurse - Operational Support RN for the night shift on the Non-Procedural Operations team. Reporting to the Nursing Director, in this role you will coordinate resources support for assigned units while providing leadership and support to staff. The annual pay range for this position is $83,532.80-$167,044.80.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate and support the health care team in the delivery of quality and fiscally responsible patient-focused nursing care with consideration of the aging process and developmental and cultural patterns in each step of the nursing process
Foster communication with patients and their family members to facilitate positive patient outcomes and discharge planning
Report status of unit operations, activities and issues to the Clinical Manager and maintain responsibility for coordinating with physicians, nursing, and ancillary departments to prioritize and manage patient flow
Participate in quality assessment and improvement programs to evaluate effectiveness of care delivered and make recommendations for improved individual and unit performance
Work with Clinical Managers and Education Coordinators to develop, mentor, coach, and motivate staff and collaborate with professional practice teams to deliver educational needs for team members and nursing units

Qualifications:

Current RI RN license required
BSN required; current matriculating candidates will be considered
At least 6 months of nursing experience with demonstrated clinical and leadership skills required; 2 years of experience preferred
