Job Overview
The Tru by Hilton Midland is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our hotel operations. The ideal candidate will oversee daily hotel functions, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and drive overall business success. This leadership role requires a strong background in hospitality management, team supervision, and revenue optimization. The General Manager will be responsible for maintaining high standards of service, managing staff, and ensuring operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise all hotel departments including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and food services to ensure smooth operations.
Oversee guest relations to deliver outstanding customer service and resolve any guest issues promptly.
Manage revenue streams through effective pricing strategies, occupancy management, and sales initiatives.
Develop and implement operational policies to ensure compliance with brand standards and local regulations.
Recruit, train, and evaluate staff; foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth.
Handle human resources functions such as staffing, scheduling, performance reviews, and conflict resolution.
Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control measures to maximize profitability.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and security throughout the property.
Utilize multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette to handle guest inquiries efficiently.
Coordinate night audit procedures and oversee overnight operations as needed.
Promote the hotel’s amenities and services to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.

Experience

Proven supervisory experience in hospitality management or hotel operations.
Strong background in revenue management, budgeting, and financial analysis within the hospitality industry.
Extensive knowledge of hotel management systems, front desk operations, and guest services protocols.
Bilingual or multilingual skills are highly desirable to effectively communicate with diverse guests and staff.
Experience with human resources functions including hiring, training, performance management, and conflict resolution.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on team development and operational excellence.
Previous experience working in a resort or similar hospitality environment is preferred. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader to shape the guest experience at Tru by Hilton Midland while driving operational success through innovative management practices.
