Overview

Join our compassionate team as a 1st and 3rd Caregiver/Medpasser, where your dedication will directly enhance the quality of life for residents in a vibrant, supportive environment. In this role, you will provide essential personal care and medication assistance, ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity for individuals with diverse needs. Your proactive approach and caring nature will help foster a warm community atmosphere, empowering residents to thrive physically, emotionally, and socially. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day while working alongside a dedicated team committed to excellence in care.

Duties

Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols as a Medpasser
Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to ensure residents' health stability
Support residents with cognitive disabilities, including those with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, through personalized care strategies
Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to prevent injury during transfers
Document all care activities meticulously using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and maintain detailed resident records
Follow safe patient lifting practices and adhere to infection control protocols during all caregiving tasks

Skills

Proven experience in assisted living or long-term care environments with a focus on geriatrics or memory care
Strong knowledge of medication administration and vital signs monitoring
Skilled in assisting with ADLs and providing compassionate dementia and Alzheimer's care
Ability to operate standard passenger vehicles safely for resident transportation or community outings
Excellent communication skills for engaging with residents, families, and team members effectively
Familiarity with EMR systems and documentation procedures in residential or home care settings
Physical stamina for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks required in caregiving roles
Knowledge of behavior management techniques for individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments
