Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Endoscopy Technician, Surgical Technician, or Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role is vital in supporting endoscopic procedures and surgical interventions, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in medical terminology, coupled with excellent technical proficiency and a commitment to patient care. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic clinical environment where precision, infection prevention, and teamwork are paramount.

Responsibilities

Assist physicians during endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopies, ensuring proper handling of endoscopic equipment and instruments.
Prepare procedure rooms by reprocessing endoscopes and related surgical tools in accordance with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention practices by following established reprocessing procedures for all endoscopic equipment.
Collaborate effectively with medical staff to facilitate smooth procedural workflows while demonstrating technical proficiency in endoscopy and surgical support tasks.

Qualifications

Prior experience or training in gastroenterology or related medical fields is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques essential for supporting endoscopic procedures.
Demonstrated ability to perform endoscope reprocessing, aseptic technique application, and infection prevention measures accurately.
Technical proficiency in handling endoscopic equipment, assisting with colonoscopy procedures, and supporting medical imaging processes.
Excellent patient care skills with compassionate communication abilities tailored to diverse patient populations.
Ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards.
