Full Job Description

Job Summary
Wixom Station in Wixom, MI is hiring an experienced Line Cook to join our kitchen team.

We are looking for someone who already knows their way around a working restaurant kitchen. This position requires prior line cook experience and the ability to handle multiple stations, including frying, grilling, and finishing dishes during service.

The right candidate is dependable, organized, clean, and able to keep pace during busy shifts while maintaining food quality and presentation standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to Wixom Station recipes, portion standards, and presentation expectations.
Work multiple line stations as needed, including fryer, grill, flat top, prep, and finishing.
Cook and plate food accurately, consistently, and in a timely manner during service.
Finish dishes properly before they leave the kitchen, including checking quality, temperature, portioning, and presentation.
Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked workstation throughout the shift.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, labeling, storage, and cross-contamination prevention procedures.
Handle food properly during prep, cooking, cooling, reheating, and service.
Communicate with kitchen staff, servers, and management to keep tickets moving during busy periods.
Assist with daily prep, restocking, cleaning, dish flow, closing duties, and general kitchen organization.
Work efficiently under pressure while maintaining food quality and consistency.

Qualifications

Prior line cook experience is required.
Experience working fryer and grill stations is required.
Must be able to follow recipes, prep lists, ticket times, and kitchen procedures.
Strong understanding of basic cooking methods, food prep, food handling, and kitchen safety.
Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work scheduled shifts.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and busy service periods.
Ability to stand for long periods and work in a hot, fast-paced kitchen.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Knife skills and ServSafe certification are a plus.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
