Full Job Description

Brookside Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is a small independently owned nursing facility. We have one unit for long term residents. The other unit is for short-term residents.

.We are currently looking for a fulltime Business Office Manager to join our team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Good organizational skills and ability to manage a wide range of tasks with competing deadlines.

· Effective communication skills needed as it is a visible position that interacts with the Administrator, nursing center staff, owner, centralized billing office, families, attorneys and external insurance agencies as needed..

· Responsible for the reporting of daily census and maintaining accurate census/ payor status in computerized system. Working knowledge of PCC – Point Click Care an advantage.

· Work closely with Admission Director and Verify billing and financial data for new admissions

Manage patient/resident trust funds and confidential files in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Meet with patients/residents as needed to explain financial obligations.
Assist in completion of Medicaid applications and other accounts receivable functions.
Assist in accounts payable by tracking / logging in invoices received in mail, getting appropriate signatures, and forwarding timely to central billing office for processing.
Ensure policy & procedure compliance.

Must having Business Office Experience in a nursing home

Must have Masshealth Application experience

Must be proficient with computers and software applications

Must project a positive and professional image at all times

Must enjoy working with the senior population

The Business Office Manager is an exempt position accruing 3 weeks of vacation / 40 hrs sick a year. 6 paid Holidays.

Must pass a background / CORI check

Must be fully vaccinated for COVID – 19.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
