About the Company
Jack Moore Associates, Inc. is a well-established New England company specializing in construction supply sales (fasteners, power tools, and hardware) and professional concrete sawing, cutting, drilling, and demolition services. We are a small, tight-knit team looking for a motivated recent college graduate ready to learn the business from the ground up.

Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented recent college graduate to join our team as an Assistant Estimator / Project Engineer. This is an excellent entry-level role that combines office support with hands-on learning in estimating and project coordination. You will assist with day-to-day administrative tasks while being trained to read prints, prepare estimates, and support our concrete cutting and construction supply operations. The right candidate will have strong growth potential and the opportunity to advance into a full Estimator role as they learn the business.

Responsibilities

Write work orders legibly and accurately
Input job information into Jobber software exactly as shown on Google Calendar
Type and prepare estimates using provided information
Make outbound phone calls and professionally handle incoming calls
Take detailed phone messages
Learn to read construction prints/blueprints and assist in providing day rates (with guidance and training)
Run materials or forgotten items to job sites as needed
Process credit card payments
Assist with billing and invoicing
Help obtain account numbers and assist with Certificates of Insurance (COI)
Provide scheduling support when needed
Grow into a full Estimator role by learning all aspects of our concrete cutting and construction supply business

Requirements

Recent college graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a closely related field (strongly preferred – these programs best prepare you for blueprint reading, estimating, and project coordination)
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable learning new software (training provided)
Clear verbal and written communication skills
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (occasional job-site runs required)
Eagerness to learn the construction industry and grow with a small company
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
Basic math skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
