Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced equipment operator to support safe, efficient mining operations. In this role, you will operate heavy equipment in a dynamic production environment, contribute to daily operational goals, and help maintain high standards for safety, quality, and productivity. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working as part of a team in an active site environment.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy equipment used in mining and site support activities in a safe and efficient manner.
Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspections to ensure equipment is in proper working condition.
Support material movement, load handling, excavation, grading, and related production tasks as assigned.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatch, and other team members to coordinate work safely.
Identify and report equipment issues, hazards, or unusual site conditions promptly.
Assist with routine cleaning and basic maintenance of equipment and work areas.
Maintain accurate records related to equipment use, inspections, and operational activities as required.
Contribute to a positive team environment and respond flexibly to changing production priorities

Qualifications

Previous experience operating heavy equipment in mining, quarry, construction, or a related industrial setting.
Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices and situational awareness.
Ability to follow instructions, policies, and operational procedures with attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Physical ability to work in an outdoor environment and perform tasks that may involve standing, climbing, and walking over uneven terrain.
Willingness to work flexible schedules, including shifts, weekends, or overtime as needed.
Valid driver’s license and any site-specific certifications or authorizations required for equipment operation.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience operating multiple types of heavy equipment.
Familiarity with mining site safety standards and production workflows.
Basic mechanical aptitude and experience recognizing equipment performance concerns.
