Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Seafood Manager to lead our seafood department. In this role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure the highest quality standards, manage inventory, and deliver exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include achieving sales goals, maintain product freshness, and uphold safety and sanitation standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to drive success in a fast-paced retail environment while fostering a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the seafood department team, including hiring, training, and developing staff to ensure excellent performance and customer service.
Manage inventory control, purchasing, and stock replenishment to maintain optimal product availability and freshness.
Oversee pricing strategies, merchandising, and product displays to maximize sales and promote seafood offerings effectively.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, sanitation standards, and proper handling procedures for seafood products.
Conduct regular store inspections, supervise shift operations, and coordinate with management to meet operational goals.
Implement marketing initiatives to attract customers and increase sales within the seafood department while maintaining store standards.

Qualifications

Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with a focus on seafood or perishable goods.
Strong knowledge of inventory management, purchasing, pricing, and merchandising techniques specific to seafood products.
Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases.
Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience in retail sales teams; ability to motivate and develop staff effectively.
Ability to handle basic math calculations accurately; strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks efficiently.
Familiarity with health regulations related to seafood handling; commitment to maintaining high sanitation standards.
