Job Title: CTRI Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor

Organization: Faith-Based Therapeutic Riding Center

About Us

We are a Christ-centered therapeutic riding program dedicated to serving individuals with physical, emotional, and developmental challenges through equine-assisted activities. Our mission is to reflect God’s love by fostering healing, growth, and connection through horsemanship.

Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and certified CTRI (Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor) to lead safe, effective, and faith-integrated riding sessions. The ideal candidate is both professionally qualified and spiritually aligned with our Christian mission, demonstrating a heart for service and a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and conduct therapeutic riding lessons tailored to individual participant needs
Ensure safety of riders, volunteers, and horses at all times
Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and families to support participant goals
Integrate Christian values and encouragement into lessons in a respectful and inclusive manner
Train and supervise volunteers during sessions
Assist with horse care, tack management, and facility upkeep
Maintain accurate participant records and progress notes

Qualifications

Current CTRI certification (or equivalent recognized credential)
Experience working with individuals with disabilities (physical, cognitive, or emotional)
Strong horsemanship skills and knowledge of horse behavior
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
A personal commitment to the Christian faith and willingness to support the organization’s mission
Ability to pass background check

Preferred Qualifications

First Aid/CPR certification
Experience in equine-assisted therapy programs
Volunteer management experience
