*Must have EXPERIENCE in tool & die making
*Position IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE
*This is a DAYTIME shift FULL-TIME position located in Milwaukee
*Flexible scheduling around standard business hours after probation period is complete.

Acro Metal Stamping Co. is a family-owned and operated job shop metal stamping company located in Milwaukee, WI. Specializing in customization, we make stampings in all shapes, sizes and materials to satisfy customer specifications. We have been in business for over 80 years.

We are now expanding and hiring another Journeyman/Journeywoman Tool and Die Maker

Tool and Die Journeyman/Tool and Die Maker Job Description

1. Build new and repair stamping dies.

2. Able to run grinders, milling machines, radial drill press, Haas CNC mill, lathe and machining center.

3. Programming experience with Mastercam, solid works and running Mitsubishi wire machines a plus.

4. Analyze specifications, lay out metal stock, set up and operate machine tools, fit and assemble parts to make and repair dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and machinist hand tools.

5. Conduct test runs with completed tools or dies to ensure that parts meet specifications and make adjustments as necessary.

6. File, grind, shim, and adjust different parts to properly fit them together.

7. Work from blueprints, sketches, models, and specifications to plan sequences of operations for fabricating tools, dies, or assemblies.

8. Assume responsibility for quality of workmanship and dimensional accuracy of work performed.

9. Must have a great work ethic, attendance, communication skills and minimum of 2 years experience in die making.

10. Must be carded (2 years of tech school for tool and die and state indentured/10,400 hours of apprentice hours). Non-carded candidates considered depending on experience.

Tool and Die Journeyman/Tool and Die Maker Skills Required

Must be eligible for employment
Strong math and measurement skills
Ability to follow detailed instructions
Proficient with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools
Willingness to learn and work with team members

Tool and Die Journeyman/Tool and Die Maker Physical Demands

Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
Able to stand for the majority of the workday
