Full Job Description

The Opportunity

Pet Evolution is growing fast. We've built something special in the pet industry - a franchise system that genuinely helps pets live healthier, happier lives. And right now, we need a marketing manager who can keep up.

We're looking for an Associate Marketing Manager who is an expert in social media strategy, Canva design production, and AI-assisted marketing automation. Someone who sees a blank canvas and sees possibility. Someone who moves fast, thinks independently, and isn't afraid to challenge the status quo.

If you're passionate about pets, obsessed with great design, and fluent in the latest AI marketing tools, this is your shot to help drive marketing at a brand that's scaling across the entire franchise system.

Who You Are

· Marketing Expert - You think strategically about campaigns, funnels, and franchisee success. You know social media isn't just posting; it's positioning.

· Canva Designer - You don't just use Canva; you master it. Production-level design work. Consistent brand systems. Templates that franchisees can actually execute. Visual storytelling that converts.

· AI Marketing Technologist - You're fluent in Claude Code, Claude Design, and modern AI marketing best practices. You use these tools to automate, scale, and create faster than your competition.

· Independent Thinker - You don't wait for permission. You spot opportunities, propose solutions, and move.

· Fast-Paced Operator - You thrive in environments where the pace is relentless and the bar is high.

· Leader - You don't just execute; you elevate. You build systems, train franchisees, and leave things better than you found them.

· Pet Advocate - You actually care about pets. This isn't just a job; it's a cause.

What You'll Do:

Content & Design Strategy

· Own Pet Evolution's social media presence across all platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn) and emerging channels

· Design and produce all marketing assets in Canva - templates, graphics, video assets, promotional materials, email graphics

· Build a scalable design system that franchisees can use while maintaining brand consistency

· Develop content calendars and campaigns that drive engagement and support franchise growth

AI-Powered Marketing Automation

· Use Claude Code to automate content generation, scheduling, and optimization

· Implement AI marketing best practices to scale campaigns without adding headcount

· Build workflows that franchisees can plug into for local marketing

Campaign Execution & Strategy

· Develop integrated marketing campaigns across social, email, and digital channels

· Create seasonal initiatives and promotional strategies that drive franchisee success

· Track and optimize performance - analytics, insights, and recommendations that move the needle

· Identify trends and emerging opportunities to keep Pet Evolution ahead of the curve

Franchisee Support & Training

· Train and support franchisees on social media, Canva templates, and marketing tools

· Provide strategic guidance on local marketing execution

· Build resources and playbooks that make franchisees' jobs easier

· Create webinars and one-on-one coaching on marketing best practices

Brand Leadership

· Ensure all marketing aligns with Pet Evolution's brand standards, messaging, and visual identity

· Collaborate with leadership on brand positioning and strategic initiatives

· Stay current on social media trends, AI marketing tools, and industry best practices

· Propose and execute innovative ideas that set Pet Evolution apart

What You Bring:

Required

· Expert-level proficiency in social media marketing and strategy

· Production-level Canva design skills (not just user-level)

· Hands-on experience with Claude Code and Claude Design (or equivalent AI marketing tools)

· Deep understanding of AI marketing best practices and automation

· Track record of building and executing integrated marketing campaigns

· Strong analytical mindset - you measure everything and optimize based on data

· Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

· Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

· Comfortable training and collaborating with franchisees and internal teams

Preferred

· 3+ years of marketing or social media experience (especially social-first roles)

· Background in franchise, retail, or pet industry marketing

· Experience building marketing systems and templates for distributed teams

· Email marketing platform expertise

· Meta Business Suite and advanced social publishing tools

· Experience managing brand consistency across multiple locations or franchisees

Role Structure (Flexible)

We're open to the right candidate in whatever structure works:

Fractional / Contract

· Preferred starting point

· 20-30 hours/week

· Project-based or retainer

· $20-30/hour depending on experience

· 3-6 month initial engagement with extension or FT conversion option

Full-Time

· Possible if fit is right

· 40 hours/week

· Full salary + benefits

· $50-70K range

We'd rather find the right expert in a flexible arrangement than force a full-time commitment upfront. If you're exceptional and the fit is there, we can structure this however makes sense - including transitioning from fractional to full-time.
