We're not looking for a CPA who wants another busy season. We're looking for someone who wants to change the way independent financial professionals and their clients think about taxes.

Gradient Financial Group is launching Tax Central. This is an exciting new division dedicated to helping financial professionals integrate proactive tax planning into their practices. Tax Central extends Gradient’s current offerings to include tax expertise into the same ecosystem of trusted, integrated solutions our advisors already rely on. This is an opportunity to help build a business from the ground up, influence its direction, and become the trusted tax voice for advisors and clients.

What You'll Do

As the founding CPA for Tax Central, you'll play a strategic role in developing tax services that support independent financial professionals and their clients - reinforcing the relationships Gradient calls the foundation of a successful business.

You'll partner with advisors to:

Develop proactive tax strategies for business owners, retirees, and high-net-worth clients.
Review complex individual and business tax situations.
Prepare and review business and individual income tax returns.
Assist with IRS and state tax notices, audits, and examinations.
Identify tax planning opportunities related to retirement income, annuities, investments, and business succession.
Consult with advisors before recommendations are made to clients.
Create educational resources, webinars, and training for financial professionals.
Build scalable processes that leverage technology and AI to improve efficiency.
Help shape the future vision of Tax Central as it grows.

We're Looking For Someone Who

Is a licensed CPA in good standing.
Has experience with both business and individual taxation.
Enjoys consulting AND compliance.

Is comfortable presenting to groups and leading educational discussions.
Enjoys collaborating with financial advisors and business owners.
Is curious, innovative, and excited about helping build a growing business.

Bonus Points If You Have

Experience working with financial advisors or wealth management firms.
Knowledge of retirement income taxation.
Experience with S corporations, partnerships, trusts, and closely held businesses.
Experience with private equity transactions, structures and relationships.
Experience representing clients before the IRS.
Interest in artificial intelligence, workflow automation, and modern tax technology.
Experience developing or growing a service line or business unit.
