Full Job Description

Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill a Senior Manufacturing Operations Technician position within their high-technology defense systems team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to interpret engineering drawings and diagrams, notifies appropriate personnel for changes needed to the engineering configuration database and maintains/revises manufacturing work instructions in electronic instruction and reporting systems. The position is based in Bloomington, MN and is fully on-site.

Location: Bloomington, MN (On-site)
Position: Senior Manufacturing Operations Technician
Contract Length: 12–24 months with possibility of going direct
Pay: $29.05 per hour
Education/Experience: Associate’s Degree with 1+ year of directly related experience
Schedule: First Shift

Clearance Requirement: U.S. citizenship required

Utilizing your mechanical and/or electrical aptitude, you’ll perform a variety of systems integration equipment and/or process operations involving an application of technical skills. The Senior Manufacturing Operations Technician interprets engineering drawings and diagrams, notifies appropriate personnel for changes needed to the engineering configuration database and maintains/revises manufacturing work instructions in electronic instruction and reporting systems.

What you bring to the table:

An Associate’s degree in related discipline or equivalent plus a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
Ability to perform preventive maintenance functions on manufacturing equipment
Able to develop, write, and edit a variety of engineering documents, including but not limited to:
- Work instructions (SOPs).
- Process documentation.
- Technical manuals.
- Test procedures and results.
- Engineering change orders (ECOs) and specifications.
Experience with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to collect requirements and ensure documentation accuracy.
Ability to Review and interpret engineering designs, blueprints, and specifications to create clear and detailed documentation.
Experience working with engineers and subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather technical information for creating comprehensive and accurate documents.
Experience implementing documentation standards, version control, and consistent formatting to maintain clarity and accessibility across all engineering documents.
Experience conducting research to ensure technical accuracy and update documents to reflect changes to processes, standards, or equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot documentation issues and recommend process improvements.
