The Role
This is a new position we are adding to our physics team to help learn and support special procedures system-wide, ultimately growing into an independent Staff Physicist role. This is an exciting opportunity for a board-eligible or newly board-certified junior physicist to work alongside senior physicists in a state-of-the-art environment across a multi-vendor environment, gaining experience in several platforms and technologies. In addition to honing your physics skills, you will have a role in mentoring the residents of our new CAMPEP program. We also provide Mock oral board exams for our junior physics staff, to help you feel prepared and comfortable for the ABR oral exam.
The successful candidate will be joining our cohesive physics group providing the full range of medical physics support for our Radiation Therapy Departments. This includes performing periodic calibration and QA for treatment machines, CT Simulators and image guidance systems. This position will also participate in and supervise patient specific QA, treatment planning/dosimetry for all SRS, SABR, & HDR treatment procedures, perform treatment chart checks and provide any additional support and consultation to radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and therapists.
