Landscape Division Foreman
Alexandria, Minnesota
~Build More Than Landscapes.
Are you passionate about landscaping but frustrated by seasonal layoffs, inconsistent hours, and limited opportunities for advancement?
True North Management is excited to launch True North Landscape Group, a new division focused on providing professional landscape design, landscape maintenance, hardscape installation, and exterior property services throughout the Alexandria Lakes Area.
We are seeking a highly motivated Landscape Division Foreman to help build and lead this growing division. This role offers a unique opportunity to enjoy the work you love during the landscaping season while maintaining the security and stability of year-round employment through our property management and maintenance operations.
This is more than a landscaping job—it's an opportunity to help shape the future of a growing company while developing a long-term career.
About True North
True North Management is a full-service property management company serving the Alexandria Lakes Area. We manage residential, commercial, and vacation rental properties while providing a wide range of services including maintenance, renovations, cleaning, leasing, and property operations.
As our company continues to grow, we are investing in the launch of True North Landscape Group to better serve our area by creating meaningful career opportunities for skilled professionals who like to raise the bar.
We believe exceptional teams are built through trust, training, accountability, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Why True North Landscape Group Is Different>Changing the Landscaping Industry for the Better
At True North Landscape Group, we believe some of the biggest challenges facing the landscaping industry aren't related to the work itself - they're related to how companies treat their people, develop their teams, and serve their clients.
As we build this division, we are committed to addressing several common industry challenges head-on.
1. Year-Round Employment for Landscaping Professionals
One of the greatest frustrations in the landscaping industry is the seasonal nature of employment. Many talented professionals are forced to search for new jobs, collect unemployment, or leave the industry altogether during the winter months.
Our solution is simple: create meaningful year-round employment.
Rather than laying off team members when the growing season ends, we provide opportunities to transition into property maintenance, renovation projects, and property improvement services through our management division. This creates consistent income, financial stability, and long-term career growth while allowing team members to continue doing the landscaping work they enjoy throughout the spring, summer, and fall.
2. A Fully Screened Team You Can Trust
Trust matters—both within a crew and when working on someone's home or property.
Every True North team member undergoes a professional screening process that includes:
- Criminal background checks
- Drug screening
- Reference verification
- Professional evaluation
This commitment helps foster accountability, professionalism, and trust within our team while giving property owners confidence in the individuals working on their homes and businesses.
3. A Genuine Commitment to Training & Development
Many companies advertise training opportunities during the hiring process but fail to provide meaningful development once employees join the team.
We believe professional growth requires action-not promises.
True North Landscape Group is committed to providing ongoing training, mentorship, leadership development, and hands-on learning opportunities. Whether it's hardscape installation, equipment operation, project management, property maintenance, customer service, or leadership skills, we are committed to helping our team members advance their careers.
Our goal is to build careers- not simply fill positions.
4. Continuous Improvement Through Better Systems & Structure
The landscaping industry has historically struggled with inconsistent organization, unclear expectations, and reactive management practices.
We are committed to building a company that operates differently.
Our team continuously works to improve:
- Operational systems
- Communication processes
- Training programs
- Safety standards
- Project management procedures
- Equipment maintenance programs
- Customer experience initiatives
We believe great people perform at their best when supported by strong systems and expectations.
Rather than settling for "the way it's always been done," we are committed to creating a culture of continuous improvement where every season becomes better than the last.
