Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Echo Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in sonography and vascular imaging, with a focus on delivering accurate diagnostic evaluations. As a Vascular Echo Technologist, you will perform advanced vascular ultrasound procedures, including assessments related to interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization, ensuring precise imaging that supports patient diagnosis and treatment planning.

Duties

Conduct comprehensive vascular ultrasound examinations, including duplex scans of arteries and veins, utilizing sonography equipment to produce high-quality images.
Assist in interventional radiology procedures and cardiac catheterizations by providing real-time imaging support within the cath lab environment.
Monitor vital signs and physiological parameters during procedures to ensure patient safety and stability.
Maintain strict aseptic technique throughout all procedures to prevent infection and ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret diagnostic images and facilitate accurate evaluations of vascular conditions.
Document findings thoroughly, prepare detailed reports, and assist in the diagnostic evaluation process for vascular disorders.
Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and operated according to manufacturer specifications and safety protocols.

Skills

Extensive knowledge of vascular anatomy, physiology, and sonographic techniques necessary for accurate imaging.
Proficiency in interventional radiology procedures, including cardiac catheterization and related interventions.
Experience working within cath labs or Level I trauma centers is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and aseptic techniques essential for patient safety.
Familiarity with telemetry monitoring, emergency medicine protocols, and Level II trauma center operations enhances performance in high-pressure environments.
Ability to interpret diagnostic images effectively for comprehensive evaluation of vascular health.
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and explaining procedures clearly to patients.
