Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Gel Coat - Resin Gun Operator to join our Varatti Boats Factory Team in Cambridge, MN. In this vital role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks necessary to spray gel coat and the proper care and maintenance of all related equipment. This position is also responsible for top quality fiberglass repair (structural and cosmetic) of gel coated surfaces, seam lines, scratches, etc. Your expertise will help maintain high standards of craftsmanship, precision, and efficiency in our manufacturing process. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced materials and equipment in a fast-paced, innovative environment dedicated to excellence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reinforce and promote all FLOE Core Values in daily interactions with coworkers and customers
Mix materials prior to spraying per manufactures specifications
Spray and mill gel coat in spray booth to industry standards
Follow gel coating procedures, spraying techniques and application guidelines set forth by company and supplier
Repair and maintain fiberglass and gel coat surfaces on production boats and tooling
Color and gel coat restoration and matching
Use various hand tools to apply and roll out wet fiberglass materials properly without air voids
Responsible for sanding, buffing, and waxing molds
Use hand tools, air and electrical power tools (i.e. DA sanders, spray gun, buffer, etc.)
Continually strive to meet or exceed FLOE International’s standard work
Understand and adhere to all company safety standards and policies
Promote and foster a safe work environment
Properly clean and maintain all equipment and tools assigned
Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent
3 (recent) years in the industry spraying gel coat
Metallic flake experience preferred
Some Lamination experience preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Be able to stand, bend, squat, twist, or bend for 10 hours
Lift up to 50 LBS
Must be able to work in confined workspaces
Must pass dust and respirator fit testing (requires being clean shaven)
