The Tenvoorde Family is seeking an amazing Mobile Service Technician!

If so, we are looking for someone just like you! Tenvoorde Ford has been selected along with a group of Ford dealers nationwide to have Mobile Service! This is an opportunity to get trained by Ford, have dealer provided tools, have virtually endless work, use a company provided vehicle and be an essential piece of the future of the vehicle service industry!

Responsibilities

What does a Mobile Service Technician Do?

Works with business development center to develop a daily and weekly work plan.
Drive/Ride in a company provided vehicle bringing the service department TO the customer!
Deliver a world-class service experience by utilizing modern technology to maintain and repair customer vehicles.
Become a repair expert to help assist other technicians with difficult problems – we are looking for team players.
Champion the Mobile Service Department by helping create new processes that will help Mobile Service be more effective.
Be the “go-to” person for all Mobile Service questions
Build and maintain collaborative partnerships with the Parts Department, Advisors, Service Manager and General Manager. in fulfilling the mission, vision, and strategic plan of the organization.
Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of Ford recall and warranty guidelines.
Prioritize and plan work-flow to meet customer needs and department demands
Coordinate with Parts Department to ensure parts availability to complete repairs in the most efficient way possible.
Road test vehicles to verify problems and again to inspect repair results
Complete service and repair assignments correctly to pass quality inspection – “fix it right the first time”
Recommend additional services that vehicle will need according to Ford standards.
Ability to effectively communicate with customers to explain upsells and completed repairs.
Must be willing to use personal device to take photos and/or videos of broken/worn parts. Photos/Videos are transferred within 3rd party app, no personal information is shared with customer – only the photos and videos uploaded.

Outstanding ability to work with a team and take direction
Ability and willingness to adopt modern technology into repair process for a better customer experience.
At leas 1-3 years of experienced as a Lube Tech, Tech 1 or level 1 technician.
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must have a clean driving record
High School Diploma/Industry Certification equivalent required
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in use of common mechanic shop tools including computerized equipment.
Ability to bend, move, lift and physically perform duties in the scope of this position.

Moderate computer skills are needed
Be open minded! This is a new program that will have opportunities for you to share your success with Ford Corporate Mobile Service team. Your idea could be used across the nation!
You will walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling and turning
Be prepared to work indoors and outdoors year round (reasonable weather permitting).
Always be alert and aware of your surroundings
Come to work with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
