Bookkeeping Assistant

We're looking for a highly organized, tech-savvy Bookkeeping Assistant to support our accounting and administrative operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate is proficient in QuickBooks, comfortable working with large volumes of financial data, and eager to contribute to a growing hospitality company.

What You'll Do

As our Bookkeeping Assistant, you'll play a key role in keeping our financial operations running smoothly by supporting multiple restaurant locations.

Restaurant Bookkeeping experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Process high-volume Accounts Payable invoices and manage vendor accounts using QuickBooks.
Accurately code expenses to the appropriate General Ledger accounts.
Reconcile daily Point of Sale (POS) reports with accounting records to ensure revenue accuracy.
Audit daily sales activity, including credit card settlements, cash deposits, and POS reports, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
Maintain financial spreadsheets, reports, and tracking tools using Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables.
Assist with month-end closing procedures and other accounting projects.
Organize digital files, maintain office records, and provide general administrative support to the accounting department.

What We're Looking For

Minimum 2 years of experience using QuickBooks (Desktop or Online).
Previous bookkeeping or accounting support experience required.
Experience with restaurant or retail POS systems (Toast experience is a plus).
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, sorting/filtering, and pivot tables.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Ability to maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive financial information.
