Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time In-House Bookkeeper to support our Home Health Care organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in accounting principles, with experience managing financial records specific to healthcare or non-profit environments. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a compassionate organization by ensuring accurate financial management, compliance with accounting standards, and efficient bookkeeping practices. The successful applicant will demonstrate proficiency with various accounting software and a thorough understanding of financial concepts essential for maintaining precise records and supporting organizational growth.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks and Accounting CS, .
Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to ensure consistency across all financial accounts.
Prepare and record journal entries, including debits and credits, in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Assist with payroll processing, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and accurate employee compensation.
Conduct account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation to support financial reporting accuracy.
Support budgeting activities by monitoring expenses against budgets and providing relevant financial data.
Generate detailed financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, for internal review and external compliance purposes.
Assist with tax preparation activities and maintain documentation required for governmental reporting.
Contribute to maintaining adherence to technical accounting standards and governmental regulations relevant to healthcare organizations.

Qualifications

Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles within healthcare, non-profit, or public accounting sectors.
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Accounting CS.
Strong understanding of GAAP standards, double-entry bookkeeping, and general ledger accounting practices.
Knowledge of governmental accounting procedures and tax regulations applicable to healthcare organizations.
Experience performing bank reconciliations, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations accurately.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry (including 10 key typing).
Ability to interpret financial concepts clearly and prepare comprehensive financial reports.
