Flower Montana is hiring an Operations & Technical Support Coordinator to support the day-to-day systems that keep our Missoula operation running correctly.
This is a hands-on position combining printing and labeling, consumables inventory and purchasing, cannabis transfers, and basic technical troubleshooting.
You will work under the supervision of Flower's Digital Systems lead and alongside our Missoula operations team. This is not a traditional IT position and it is not a management position. It is a practical operating role for someone who is organized, technically comfortable, dependable, and good at taking a task from problem to verified completion.
You should be equally comfortable working at a computer, troubleshooting a printer, checking physical inventory, preparing a transfer, ordering supplies, and figuring out why something is not working as expected.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
PRINTING, LABELS & EQUIPMENT
- Operate and maintain label-printing workflows used throughout the Missoula operation.
- Create and print product labels using established templates, COAs, METRC data, testing information, and product specifications.
- Verify weights, testing data, warnings, barcodes, QR codes, package information, and other required label information before use.
- Perform routine quality control on labels and printed materials.
- Maintain label stock, printer supplies, ribbons, and related consumables.
- Troubleshoot common issues involving Zebra printers, scanners, computers, peripherals, label software, and related equipment.
- Escalate unfamiliar or higher-level technical problems rather than creating workarounds.
CONSUMABLES INVENTORY & PURCHASING
You will own Missoula's consumables inventory and replenishment loop.
This includes items such as packaging, tubes, pop-tops, cones, labels, exit bags, shrink bands, printer supplies, and other operational consumables.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain accurate counts and storage locations.
- Monitor usage and burn rates.
- Establish and maintain reorder points.
- Track vendor lead times and expected deliveries.
- Place routine orders before shortages occur.
- Track purchase orders and open shipments through delivery.
- Receive and reconcile incoming consumables.
- Resolve shortages, incorrect shipments, damaged goods, and routine vendor issues.
- Maintain vendor and product information needed for reliable reordering.
- Assist with developing and maintaining a barcode/scanning system for consumables inventory where appropriate.
- Help keep physical inventory and digital inventory records synchronized.
Major packaging changes, new sourcing programs, and higher-level vendor decisions remain supervised by Digital Systems and company leadership.
TRANSFERS & CANNABIS OPERATIONS SUPPORT
- Assist with inter-location cannabis transfer preparation and execution.
- Verify products, quantities, METRC packages/tags, manifests, and supporting documentation.
- Complete assigned METRC and Dutchie workflow steps accurately.
- Help reconcile physical products against digital records before transfers are completed.
- Support wholesale intake and product setup when assigned.
- Identify discrepancies and stop work when required information or records do not match rather than pushing incorrect information downstream.
BASIC TECHNICAL SUPPORT
Serve as the first line of support for routine Missoula technical issues involving:
- Computers and workstations
- Printers and label printers
- Barcode scanners
- Peripherals and cables
- Basic software issues
- User/device setup
- Printing and scanning workflows
- Established company systems and tools
You are not expected to be an IT engineer. You are expected to be comfortable investigating ordinary problems, using documentation and AI tools effectively, testing solutions, and knowing when something needs to be escalated.
DOCUMENTATION & OPERATIONAL SUPPORT
- Follow established SOPs and system instructions.
- Maintain clear records of completed work, inventory, orders, troubleshooting, and recurring processes.
- Help create or update process documentation under supervision.
- Support implementation of new hardware, software, printing, inventory, or workflow systems.
- Verify that changes actually work before considering a task complete.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The right person for this role is someone who notices when something isn't right and takes responsibility for getting it resolved.
You are likely a strong fit if you:
- Are highly dependable and organized.
- Pay close attention to details without losing sight of getting the work finished.
- Are comfortable working independently within established systems.
- Have strong basic computer skills and learn new software quickly.
- Are comfortable troubleshooting hardware and technical problems.
- Can move easily between physical work and computer-based work.
- Keep track of inventory, orders, deadlines, and open tasks without needing constant reminders.
- Follow tasks all the way through completion.
- Communicate clearly when something needs escalation.
- Can handle interruptions and shifting priorities without losing important work.
- Are comfortable using AI and online documentation to research and troubleshoot routine problems.
- Prefer fixing problems correctly over creating temporary workarounds.
This role is a particularly good fit for someone who enjoys making things work.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Valid Montana Marijuana Worker Permit, or ability to obtain one as required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong general computer skills.
- Ability to work accurately with detailed product and inventory information.
- Ability to work independently while following established procedures and supervision.
- Ability to manage multiple active tasks and bring them through completion.
- Comfortable working hands-on with cannabis products, packaging materials, printers, equipment, and supplies.

- Barcode or scanning systems
- Zebra or thermal label printers

We care more about technical aptitude, reliability, accuracy, and your ability to learn and finish work than having held a particular job title before.
WHAT THIS JOB IS — AND ISN'T
This is a hands-on operational support role.
You will have real ownership of Missoula consumables and significant responsibility for routine printing, transfer, and technical-support execution.
You will not be expected to independently redesign company systems, make major packaging or compliance decisions, or act as the company's IT department. Larger system changes and exceptions are escalated through the Digital Systems lead.
The goal is simple: keep routine systems working, keep consumables available, complete assigned operational work correctly, and close the loop when problems appear.

Benefits:
- Health insurance
- Paid time off
