Full Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Correctional Cook to join our food service team in a correctional facility in Pattonsburg, MO. In this role, you will prepare and serve nutritious meals while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and security. This position requires the ability to work in a secure environment and interact professionally with correctional staff and incarcerated individuals.

Essential Responsibilities

Prepare, cook, and serve meals according to standardized recipes and production schedules.
Ensure food quality, portion control, and presentation standards are met.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, dining areas, equipment, and workstations.
Follow all food safety, HACCP, and sanitation guidelines.
Receive, store, and rotate food products using proper inventory procedures.
Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Work closely with correctional staff to ensure compliance with all facility security procedures.
Assist with kitchen cleanup and maintain a safe working environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

Live by the “Golden Rule” and work with other associates to build a strong team atmosphere
Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
Cook food, adhering to food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures
All other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be 18 years of age
Must be able to gain credentials to designated facility
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English, with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to work a flexible schedule, based on the business needs of your location
Authorized to work in the United States

Physical Requirements:

Requires standing, walking & bending, as well as occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 25 lbs.
