About the Firm:
David J. Franks, P.C. is a boutique law firm in Bettendorf, Iowa focusing on business transactions, real estate, probate, and estate planning matters, offering personalized legal services built on trust, professionalism, and long-term client relationships.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a full-time Paralegal to assist in our real estate, probate, and/or estate planning practice areas. The ideal candidate will be personable, detail-oriented, and able to manage files with minimal oversight. Experience in at least one of these practice areas is preferred, but a suitable candidate will be trained. All inquiries will be kept strictly confidential.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and organize documents for real estate transactions, including deeds, closing documents, and correspondence.
Draft estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney. Willing to train inexperienced candidates on this.
Prepare probate filings and track case deadlines.
Communicate directly with clients, lenders, title companies, and court personnel.
Draft professional letters and maintain organized client files.
Provide general administrative and case support to the attorney.

Qualifications:

Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage files and deadlines with minimal supervision.
Professional, client-focused demeanor.

Compensation & Benefits:

$22 per hour
Paid time off (PTO)
