Overview

Wave AVL is a design-build audio, video, and lighting integration company serving houses of worship, commercial environments, entertainment venues, educational facilities, and more. We are passionate about delivering high-quality AVL systems while building a team culture centered around excellence, integrity, hard work, and collaboration.

The Manufacturing Associate & Driver supports daily warehouse and production operations through manufacturing, assembly, logistics, equipment preparation, and delivery support. This role is hands-on and plays a critical part in maintaining quality, organization, and on-time delivery across projects.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with their hands, staying organized, learning technical processes, and contributing to a fast-paced team environment. This position offers a strong opportunity for someone who is dependable, mechanically inclined, and eager to grow within the AVL industry.

Essential Functions

Manufacturing & Production

Manufacture and prepare plates according to job specifications and drawings
Operate ShopBot and Laser Engraver safely and accurately
Maintain an organized work area and follow production workflows
Receive products into inventory and process outgoing orders within ERP software

Assembly

Assemble desks and related products to specification
Read and interpret work orders and assembly instructions
Inspect completed assemblies for quality and completeness
Package finished products to prevent damage during shipping

Driving, Loading & Unloading Trucks

Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy
Stage product for delivery or burn-in
Drive company-owned box trucks to local and regional job sites (up to 50%)
Occasional overnight travel may be required (up to 25%)

Burn-In & Quality Control (As needed)

Perform burn-in procedures on AVL gear
Monitor equipment during testing to verify proper functionality
Document results and report any issues or defects
Help maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment

Assist with general team responsibilities and operational support as needed

Qualifications

Alignment with Wave’s culture, values, and commitment to excellence
High school diploma or equivalent required
Valid driver’s license and maintain an insurable driving record
21 years of age or older to meet company driving and insurance requirements
Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card
Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
Comfortable using hand tools and power tools
Basic computer skills and comfort learning ERP/inventory software
Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred
Experience in AVL production environments (paid or volunteer) is a plus
Experience operating box trucks, delivery vehicles is a plus (no CDL required)
Positive attitude and ability to work well within a team environment
Coachable and willing to learn new tools, processes, and technologies
Willingness to jump in and support the team wherever needed

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
