Full Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking dynamic and detail-oriented Bookkeeping professionals and those looking to assist to join our financial and customer service team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing or assisting comprehensive bookkeeping functions, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, and supporting various accounting processes across different sectors. Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of our financial data, facilitate timely reporting, and support strategic decision-making. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your skills in a fast-paced environment that values precision, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Manage or assist full-cycle bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries using software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, and other financial systems.
Perform account reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy of the general ledger and subsidiary accounts.
Process payroll accurately while ensuring compliance with tax regulations and payroll laws; handle payroll reporting and related documentation.
Maintain detailed records of journal entries, debits & credits, and account analysis to support audit readiness and internal controls.
Assist with budgeting activities and provide insights through financial report writing to support organizational planning.
Utilize spreadsheets extensively for data analysis, tracking financial metrics, and preparing reports for management review.
Conduct account reconciliation tasks such as bank reconciliation and account analysis to ensure all records are precise and up-to-date.
Contribute to process improvements by leveraging your knowledge of accounting software like QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or other systems to streamline workflows.

Requirements

Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles with a strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping principles.
Proficiency in popular accounting software including QuickBooks (especially QuickBooks Online), Xero, Sage, and other financial systems.
Ability to perform detailed account reconciliation tasks such as balance sheet reconciliation and bank reconciliation efficiently.
Experience with payroll processing, tax filing procedures, accounts payable/receivable management, and journal entry posting.
Familiarity with technical accounting concepts such as account analysis, general ledger accounting, budget management, and financial reporting.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
10 key typing skills for quick data entry; ability to work independently within a team environment.
