Job Description:

We are a trusted partner-driven by doing the right thing and achieving maximum success for our customers, our partners and ourselves. Kratos has an exciting remote opportunity for additional staff Accounts Payable accountant who will:

Process and verify vendor invoices for accuracy, proper coding, and approvals.
Enter invoices into the accounting system (Deltek Costpoint).
Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents (2-way/3-way match).
Prepare and execute weekly/regular payment runs (checks, ACH, wires).
Reconcile AP transactions and resolve discrepancies with vendors or internal departments.
Monitor aging reports and ensure timely payments.
Research and resolve invoice issues, missing documents, or price/quantity variances.
Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive vendor relationships.
Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and audit requirements.
Support month-end and year-end close (accruals, reconciliations, reporting).
Assist with 1099 preparation and year-end tax filing support.
Participate in system upgrades or AP module testing.

Experience and Skills:

2-5 years experience in Accounting/AP or college degree in Business/Accounting
Microsoft Software Knowledge

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Competitive salary based on experience and education
Salary Range: $56,000-$60,000
