Position Details

● Full-time/Contract (40-45 hrs a week)

● Long-term position (at least one year commitment min, preferred)

● Start Date: Late Summer/Fall (EOM August) 2026

● Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:00/:30 PM

About Our Family

We are an active, family-oriented household seeking an exceptional full-time professional nanny to become an integral part of our growing family. We have a bright, energetic, and curious young toddler who loves to explore, learn, and stay active, and we anticipate welcoming another infant in the near future.

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about early childhood development and genuinely enjoys helping young children learn through play, exploration, and meaningful everyday experiences.

Our goal is to provide a safe, nurturing, engaging, and primarily screen-free environment where our children can build confidence, independence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.

Our ideal nanny enjoys reading, music, arts and crafts, sports, sensory play, imaginative play, outdoor adventures, and planning enriching outings such as libraries, museums, parks, swimming, and age-appropriate community activities. We value someone who naturally incorporates learning opportunities into everyday routines and enjoys encouraging creativity, kindness, and independence.

While one parent works remotely from home, we are both actively involved in our child’s lives.

We value professionalism, open communication, teamwork, and mutual respect while empowering our nanny to confidently manage the children’s daily routines and activities.

We are seeking someone who is interested in becoming a trusted, long-term member of our family’s support team.

Compensation & Benefits

● Salary range depends on experience and qualifications.

● Full-time schedule averaging approximately 40-45 hours per week (8am-4 or 4:30pm).

● 10 days of paid time off, accrued annually.

● Six (6) paid federal holidays.

● Mileage reimbursement for transporting the children to activities using your personal vehicle.

● $250 annual compensation towards childhood education or related certifications

● Salary will be reviewed if / when responsibilities expand to include the care of an additional child.

Responsibilities

● Utilize Montessori or other evidence-based early childhood approaches in learning experiences.

● Provide attentive, loving, and developmentally appropriate care for our young child and one more child (infant) in the future.

● Create a safe, nurturing, engaging, and primarily screen-free environment.

● Plan and implement age-appropriate educational, developmental, and enrichment activities. For infants, minimize use of rockers and chairs, and engage infants in routine, age appropriate skills such a tummy time.

● Aide in potty training skills/development for toddlers.

● Encourage speech development and learning through reading, music, sensory play, imaginative play, outdoor exploration, and everyday experiences.

● Transport our child(ren) to & from classes, parks, libraries, museums, swimming, and other enriching activities throughout the Colorado Springs area.

● Be comfortable independently supervising and safely taking our child swimming and/or participating in other seasonal recreational activities throughout the year.

● Comfortable preparing variety fresh, healthy meals and snacks for the children. We are not a 'fast food' household.

● Assist with household grocery shopping as needed.

● Maintain consistent daily routines, healthy sleep habits, and developmental milestones.

● Responsible for childrens’ laundry.

● Wash/sanitize bottles, children’s dishes, and load/unload the dishwasher.

● Perform light housekeeping, including vacuuming common areas, tidying up, wiping down toys, kitchen surfaces, and helping maintain a clean, organized home environment.

● Keep children’s bedrooms, play areas, toys, books, clothing, and supplies clean and organized, with regular rotation.

● Communicate openly with parents regarding meals, naps, activities, milestones, and daily updates.

● During scheduled family vacations when childcare is not required, assist with agreed-upon family support duties such as grocery shopping, meal preparation, organizing children’s spaces, light household organization, and caring for our friendly family cat.

Required Qualifications

● REQUIRED: At least five (5) years of professional childcare experience with other children under five years of age, including experience caring for infants and toddlers.

● Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

● Reliable personal transportation.

● Comfortable transporting our child to and from activities throughout the Colorado Springs area.

● CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to obtain before starting).

● Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check with fingerprinting as part of the pre-employment / onboarding process.

● Comfortable working in a home with involved, and often work-from-home parents.

● Friendly around cats and preferably not allergic to cats.

● Excellent professional references.

● Non-smoker.

● Authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

● (Highly Desired) Experience caring for infants and toddlers simultaneously.

● (Highly Desired) Montessori certification or significant Montessori-or early childhood learning experience.

● (Highly Desired) Degree or certifications in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.

● (Highly Desired) Bilingual (English- Spanish).

● Experience supporting infant sleep routines, introducing solids and baby-led weaning (based on family preference), potty training, and tracking developmental milestones.

● Experience teaching or reinforcing water safety with young children.
