Full Job Description

Philadelphia-based Kwartler Manus personal injury attorneys are committed to fighting with tenacity and skill on behalf of our clients, helping them achieve their legal goals. We strive with every case to be the compassionate and understanding counselor our clients need outside of the courtroom, as well as the ferocious advocate they need fighting for their case.

We believe that friendliness is a virtue not just for interactions with clients but also between staff. In this position, you will often be the primary contact person for our clients; thus, being sympathetic, understanding, and approachable is of the utmost importance.

Purpose

We are seeking a Personal Injury Case Manager to join our growing team. This individual will play a critical role in case development, client communication, and overall case management from intake through settlement. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, customer-focused, and empathetic, with a strong ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Client Communication & Support

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular status updates and support throughout the lifecycle of their case.
Guide clients through the legal process from intake to settlement, ensuring they understand the case status and next steps.

Case Management & Organization

Manage a high-volume caseload, maintaining organized, up-to-date case files in both physical and digital formats.
Handle all aspects of case preparation, from intake to closing, including document gathering, client updates, and attorney communication.

Medical Records & Documentation

Order and track medical records from healthcare providers, ensuring all necessary documents are obtained to support injury claims.
Coordinate with medical providers to ensure proper treatment documentation is secured and presented.
Collect and organize evidence and documents to support liability claims and injury details.

Negotiations & Settlements

Assist attorneys in negotiating settlements with insurance companies, advocating for the client’s best interests.
Prepare comprehensive demand packages, compiling all necessary documents for submission to insurance carriers.

Collaboration with Legal Team

Work directly with attorneys and paralegals, presenting case synopses and ensuring they have all necessary materials to advance each case.
Collaborate with other case managers, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure seamless support of each case.

Insurance & Healthcare Provider Communication

Interact with insurance carriers and healthcare providers to verify account balances, process claims, and settle case payments.
Maintain consistent follow-up with clients regarding treatment status and case progress.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required. Excellent opportunity for recent college grad considering going to law school.
2+ years of experience as a Personal Injury Case Manager, or paralegal role preferred, however, recent college graduates will also be considered.
Experience in a high-volume personal injury practice is highly preferred.

Skills

Excellent negotiation skills and ability to communicate effectively with insurance adjusters, clients, and healthcare providers.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple cases, deadlines, and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive client relationships.
High attention to detail and ability to maintain organized case records and documents.
Proficiency in legal case management software, specifically Litify.
Spanish speaking is preferred but not required.
