Full Job Description

About the Role

As a CNC Milling Specialist, you will serve as a key technical contributor in a dynamic manufacturing environment, taking ownership of complex setups and precision machining processes. You will leverage your expertise in G-code and machine optimization to deliver high-quality custom components, ensuring that every project meets rigorous engineering specifications.

Responsibilities

Execute comprehensive setups and changeovers on 3-axis and 4-axis Vertical Machining Centers (VMC).
Interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM files to ensure absolute dimensional accuracy.
Perform real-time program edits, tool offsets, and machine adjustments to maximize production efficiency.
Conduct thorough quality inspections using GD&T standards to guarantee parts meet strict tolerance requirements.
Proactively troubleshoot tooling, fixture, and programming challenges to minimize downtime.
Manage small-batch production runs, adapting quickly to shifting customer priorities and evolving project needs.
Maintain a high-standard, organized workspace that prioritizes safety and operational excellence.

Qualifications

Required Skills

5+ years of hands-on experience in CNC milling and machine setup.
Advanced proficiency in G-code programming and manual machine adjustments.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T specifications.
Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on independent troubleshooting.
Extensive experience with Haas or similar VMC platforms.

Preferred Skills

Prior experience working in a fast-paced job shop environment.
Proficiency in CAM software, specifically Autodesk Fusion 360.
Experience with manual machining or secondary shop operations.
Background in mentoring or providing technical guidance to junior team members.
