Location: Moultrie, GA Job Type: Full-time, M-F, 8am-5pm (somewhat flexible) Pay: $18-$25/hr, depending on qualifications and experience
About the Company
Moultrie Made is a small CNC job shop running multiple CNC routing, milling, and laser-cutting machines. We convert raw material into finished metal and plastic parts for a variety of customers and jobs. We are a small, family-owned business that offers competitive pay and retirement matching, and you'll work directly with the owner rather than getting lost in a big company.
About the Position
We're looking for a hands-on, reliable operator to run our machines, finish parts to spec, and keep material and jobs moving through the shop. This is a full-time, varied role - you won't be standing at one station running the same part all day.
What You'll Do
- Run jobs across our CNC machines - loading material, starting jobs, and keeping an eye on quality while they run
- Perform quality inspection on finished parts using standard measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)
- Finish parts by hand and machine - deburring, sanding, tumbling, and cleaning - and prep them for packing and shipping
- Handle incoming material and keep inventory and storage areas organized
- Perform routine machine maintenance and keep your work area clean and safe
Room to Grow
As you build experience, there's real opportunity to take on more - helping with machine setup, programming, and process/fixture design and improvements. We're a small shop and we invest in people who want to grow with us; how far this role goes is largely up to you.
What We're Looking For
- Some hands-on experience in a manufacturing or shop/warehouse environment (Machine-specific experience is a plus, but not required if you're comfortable troubleshooting and maintaining mechanical equipment and eager to learn.)
- Comfortable reading work orders and following instructions precisely
- Reliable attendance and the ability to manage several tasks across a shift
- Basic hand tool proficiency
- Comfortable with basic computer use - opening/saving files, navigating folders, and learning simple shop software (job tracking, order management)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, stand for extended periods, and work around dust, fumes, and machine noise
Not required, but the strongest candidates might also have:
- Prior CNC experience
- Experience operating and/or maintaining farm or other heavy equipment
- Forklift experience/certification
- Interest in CNC programming or machining in general
We're looking for someone who takes pride in doing quality work, shows up every day, and enjoys solving problems. If that's you, we'd like to hear from you. To get started, apply through Indeed with your resume. If you don't have a resume, tell us about your work history and why you're interested in the position.
