Full Job Description

Company Overview

NHCS, LLC is a growing commercial plumbing contractor specializing in new construction, renovations, and design-build projects throughout Central Florida. We are seeking an experienced Commercial Plumbing Estimator to join our team and help drive profitable growth through accurate and competitive project bidding.

Position Summary

The Commercial Plumbing Estimator is responsible for analyzing plans and specifications, performing quantity takeoffs, developing accurate cost estimates, and preparing competitive bids for commercial plumbing projects. The ideal candidate has strong construction knowledge, attention to detail, and experience estimating large-scale commercial plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

· Review project drawings, specifications, and bid documents.

· Perform detailed plumbing material and labor takeoffs.

· Prepare accurate cost estimates and bid proposals.

· Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations.

· Analyze project risks, schedules, and constructability issues.

· Coordinate with project managers, field personnel, vendors, and general contractors.

· Attend pre-bid meetings when required.

· Assist with value engineering and cost-saving recommendations.

· Maintain estimating databases and historical cost information.

· Support project turnover and handoff meetings upon award.

Qualifications

Required

· 3+ years of commercial plumbing estimating experience.

· Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

· Strong understanding of commercial plumbing systems and installation methods.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and estimating software.

· Strong communication and organizational skills.

· Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.

Preferred

· Experience with FastPIPE, Trimble Accubid, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar estimating software.

· Field plumbing experience.

· Knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems.

· Experience with design-build and negotiated projects.
