Full Job Description

Are you a seasoned manufacturing professional ready to spearhead operations in a high-output production facility? We are looking for a decisive, results-oriented leader to oversee our plant, champion Lean initiatives, and maintain rigorous standards for safety and product excellence across the site.

The Role

As the Plant Manager, you will serve as the primary architect of our facility’s daily operations. Your mission is to synchronize production workflows, optimize resource allocation, and cultivate a culture of accountability. You will use your deep industrial expertise to mentor staff, refine operational systems, and ensure our facility operates at peak efficiency.

Key Leadership Responsibilities

In this role, your focus will be on delivering results across these core functional pillars:

Production & Quality Control: Take ownership of product excellence by validating initial production runs against strict specifications. You will elevate standards by standardizing work instructions and implementing advanced process controls.
Operational Scheduling: Define and broadcast daily output targets for all shifts and supervisors. You will be responsible for real-time performance audits to ensure the team consistently hits its benchmarks.
Continuous Improvement (CI): Serve as the internal catalyst for 5S and efficiency mapping. You will direct all site organization efforts to eliminate waste and improve flow.
Workforce Oversight: Manage a diverse workforce, including union personnel and front-line supervisors. This includes performance coaching, attendance tracking, and labor cost optimization.
Supply Chain Strategy: Partner with procurement and scheduling teams to maintain lean inventory levels while ensuring 100% material availability for production.

Core Duties & Expectations

Champion a "Safety First" culture by leading the safety committee and strictly enforcing compliance protocols.
Audit all operational, safety, and quality logs to ensure administrative accuracy and regulatory readiness.
Identify bottlenecks quickly and deploy rapid-response troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
Ensure the facility remains in total compliance with Company GMPs and lead staff training on these standards.
Develop technical fluency with high-spec equipment (including Gopfert, Bobst, Martin, Bahmuller, Post, and Pacific).
Collaborate with executive leadership to master nuance in labor relations, HR strategy, and advanced technical workflows like die-cutting and pre-press.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Career History: 5 to 7 years of progressive management experience within a manufacturing environment.
Span of Control: Demonstrated success managing a headcount of 30+, encompassing both direct hires and flexible staffing.
Labor Relations: Extensive experience operating within a unionized workforce is required.
Systems Expertise: Proficiency in ERP platforms (such as Amtech, SAP, AS400, or Kiwi) is essential for data-driven decision-making.
Core Competencies: High degree of initiative, exceptional organizational stamina, and a proactive "sense of urgency."
Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for cross-departmental collaboration. Bilingual abilities are highly preferred.
Logistics: Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment, manage multi-line workflows, and commit to overtime as operational needs dictate.
